We started in 2000 as Austek Constructions, a humble Sydney-based building company with a big heart and an even bigger vision. Like many great Aussie businesses, we evolved with the needs of our customers and communities. In 2005, we made the bold move to South-East Queensland and found our true purpose, creating inclusive, innovative, and fun-filled outdoor spaces. That’s when Austek Play was born.
From day one, we’ve believed in doing things the right way. That means leading with integrity, listening closely to our clients, and delivering beyond expectations. We’ve grown into a full design and construct partner, working with landscape architects, councils, schools, and developers to bring world-class play and fitness experiences to life.
How we got here
2000
Austek Constructions is founded in Sydney.
2005
Operations move to SEQ; Austek Play is launched, focusing on playground installation.
2009
We become exclusive distributors for several major playground brands, opening up a world of design potential for our clients.
2017
Our in-house design team is formed, enabling bespoke, creative playground solutions.
2022
We open a new warehouse in Morisset, expanding our NSW footprint.
TODAY
We stand proud as a national leader in playground and fitness design and construction, with exclusive access to the most diverse range of Australian and European equipment on the market.

While our capabilities have grown, our values remain unchanged. We’re still 100% Australian-owned and operated. We still lead with care. And we still believe that great play and outdoor fitness spaces can change lives, by inspiring movement, inclusion, imagination, and fun.
