Simon Cawthorne: QLD Playground Specialist Consultant

What is your favourite piece of equipment?
“My favourite equipment item is the CEMER AGMS 66.”

Why?
“I like how it simultaneously combines climbing, spinning and peer to peer play. Rope based activities have a great way of providing children with a higher level of perceived risk which I believe is an important element to include in playgrounds.”

“I love this unit at Hanover Drive park, I often visit this park while I’m walking my dog.”

Jemma Barker: Designer

What is your favourite piece of equipment?
“My favourite piece of equipment would have to be the Spinmee inclusive carousel.”

Why?
“I like that it’s such a simple solution to inclusive play. It’s well designed so it allows for inclusivity without separating kids with disabilities from play.”

What is your favourite piece of equipment?
“I mean, playground equipment has come a long way, so to me it’s all so very impressive! One piece that does stand out is the Tango swing seat.”

Why?
“I love the idea of being able to sit face to face with a child and immerse yourself in their world, surrounded by their laughter. The perfect opportunity to play and engage!”
